Rector’s message 

Welcome to the website of the Vietnam National University,  Hanoi – University of Engineering and Technology.

     With the mission assigned by the Government as “Training human resources at university and postgraduate level and fostering talents in the field of science and technology; researching and implementing scientific and technological applications to meet the needs of socio-economic development” after nearly 20 years of construction and development based on inheriting and promoting strengths and traditions of the University of Hanoi and the Vietnam National University, the University of Engineering and Technology has affirmed its position as a prestigious university training institution in the higher education system of the country, a reliable and potential address for training and research for partners, businesses domestically and internationally.

     For many years, we have been building and developing at UET a standardized training ecosystem, a positive research environment embracing academic freedom, in which every lecturer is a scientist, students are encouraged to unleash to the maximum of their creative potential while studying, researching, and also starting their own business. As the progress of training closely follows research activities as well as actual demands from enterprises and the society, students studying at UET are equipped not only necessary knowledge and skills for the job at hand in a particular field, but also the ability to pursue lifelong learning, to carry out things in an innovative way, to be a great leader and to overcome complicated problems and challenges.

     In order to implement these development opinions, we always value the improvement of our staff, our system of programs are regularly updated, developed in reference to advanced training programs worldwide; Our facilities are highly maintained and invested in order to meet the standard requirement for study and research. In every activity, we’ve always looked at ourselves with quality testing criteria and worked as hard as we can to make UET one of Vietnam’s top-level research universities, across the advanced universities in the region and the world, contributing to a wealthier Vietnam.

     Studying at UET, students are provided with a standard training environment, and they strive to master technology in the 4. 0 era;At UET, our staff are immersed in an open, energetic, and professional environment. In Cooperation with UET, our partner will benefit from conditions for developing training programs, projects and high-quality research.
