The Faculty of Engineering Physics and Nanotechnology (FEPN) was established on September 9, 2004 at the College of Technology, now University of Engineering and Technology (VNU-UET), as the successor of the Department of Technical Physics and Photonics of the Faculty of Technology (from 1999 to 2004), the predecessor of the VNU-UET. Currently, the Faculty consists of 4 departments and 3 laboratories, involves about 40 academic staffs including a number of part-time lecturers from prominent research institutes of the Vietnamese Academy of Science and Technology (VAST). The Faculty enjoys very active international exchange and cooperation in both research and education with highly recognized research institutes and universities all over the world, playing an important role in the development of nanotechnology education and research in Vietnam. The Faculty offers a B.Sc. degree program in Engineering Physics and is the first institution in Vietnam launching the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree program in Nano-Materials and Devices. Every year, about 60 undergraduate students, 15 master and 5 Ph.D. students are admitted to the training programs at the Faculty.
